Printmaking is a special process which reveals its special qualities as you take the art work to the press. Linocut is a printmaking technique, where the artwork is carved into the lino for a relief surface with the raised areas representing a reversal of the parts to show printed. I have used printmaking over my career to develop new work.
Fish Out of Water builds on the Fish Wives series was completed as a part of a Printmaking Project that I coordinated in 2004. A fish wife collects other people's gossip and spreads it around the town. To gossip like an old fish wife. This work is unframed and printed on parchment paper.
