Two Fish Print W39cm x H27 cm
Printmaking is a special process which reveals its special qualities as you take the art work to the press. Linocut is a printmaking technique, where the artwork is carved into the lino for a relief surface with the raised areas representing a reversal of the parts to show printed. I have used printmaking over my career to develop new work.
Two fish print was completed as a part of a Printmaking Project that I coordinated in 2002. I love fish. I have a huge bowl outside my house that contains my goldfish. The fish symbolizes fertility, creativity, rebirth, good luck, transformation, health, serenity, happiness, strength, and endurance. This work is unframed. The Gold Fish is printed on thick parchment and the other two are printed on japanese rice paper.
